Pheew…it has been almost a month working for my first job. I’m too tired to open my com at home, esp when I got my new hard disk (and so have to install everything once again). I’m getting sick now LOL. Today it’s quite bored so I got a chance to upload my blog. I miss everyone, esp QBee readers!

Here’s my to-do list on non-job related:
> Respond all QB trade requests (I am really sorry)
> Drop by bees’ blogs (miss you guys)
> Finish my page (oh mine!)
> Being inspired again on blog theme
> Of course, visit QBee
> Call few people :-)
> Email to my friends
> Go out with family

Anime/Manga Addicted

Recently I have tried to finish Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Season 2. I spent about 1.5 week due to my so many tasks to get done first. This is much more fun than the first season! I love to learn a secret of Kurokane. I learn more about each character and his/her development in personality. Fye seems to be the most mysterious of the four as usual. However, Kurokane is becoming more gentle and expressive. He’s willing to accept someone as trusted one. For Sakura, she’s cutest ever! And Syoran is my forever hero. The relationship between the two is getting alot better (and sweeter!). Wow, I’m excited.

Finally, I found out at the end of the DVD that Season 2 is not the end of the story  . Mine! I don’t want the story to end, but I am really curious how it would end. I want to know about another Syoran and why it is destined to have Sakura’s feathers lost. And of course, I want to learn about Fye and his escape. Hint, I really love this character :-p

Also…I’m looking forward watching Tsubasa Chronicle the Movie: The Princess of the Country of Birdcages!

If you read all the way to hear and just figure out that you don’t know about the story (LOL…are you slow like me?),  see the wiki! Wikipedia has this?!? Wow!

I am also currently addicted to Fairy Tail manga by Hiro Mashima. I think I read up to Volume 5  , right? I’m a goldfish :_( .  I want to see anime version too.

Next DVD watch is Negima. I had stopped reading manga and would skip to anime soon before I work. Did I tell you I already get a job? I’m starting this Weds. I’ll blog about it for sure!

Bangkok Royal Orchid Paradise 2008

Bangkok Royal Orchid Paradise 2008 @ Siam Paragon

Yesterday I went to the orchid fair at Siam Paragon. OMG I was stunned with those beautiful orchids. They are all award-winning orchids. I have seen many orchids I never ever before. My favorite orchid ever is vanda, esp the darkest color. I’m not sure the exact name of the color I love, but the seller (of my first vanda) called it “black.” Actually it’s not black but it’s very dark navy.

Another favorite orchid is a Cattleya-family orchid (a very broad variety). The name sounds like a very feminine Thai lady name. And yes! It’s a very feminine orchid. It looks like a girl dressing up very pretty. In this fair, I have seen so many sweet combinations of Cattleyas’ colors, and don’t talk about their scents!

A very unique orchid that can be planted on the soil (terrestrial orchid) is lady-slipper. It’s very hard to raise (for me). I used to have one. I can see it’s flower only once a year. Finally it dies. A very hard one to find. Back then it was illegal to buy and sell because it was taken from the forest. Nowadays, those lady-slippers are from orchard.

My dad’s favorite (forever and ever) is Rhynchostylis gigantea. Oh mine, scientific name! I’m not sure about common name in English. The longer the flower branch (bundle) is, the more my dad loves! It’s fantastic ‘coz it’s so huge! It makes me feel like living in a real paradise and I’m the lovely elf

My sister used to have a very tiny (and another hard to raise) orchid. Yet, it’s not as tiny as I saw in the fair (much smaller than my finger). I’m not sure what’s species, or even the common name. All I know is that it’s amazing too cute! It has become one of centers of interest in the fair. I tried to take a photo, but it was too difficult for me .

Too bad that there’s no orchid for sale :_( . Yet I got a orchid stamp set exclusive for this fair! Happy enough. The whole set is only 100 Baht. I also bought many other stamps. Now I’m gonna few of photos I got with my Canon camera (btw, Canon offered free prints of photos in the fair for Canon camera owners too ^_^ so I advertise them a bit  ).

1 Liter of Tears

1 Liter of Tear is Kitou Aya’s diary, recording about her life and thought as she had gone through hardship in living with Spinocerebellar degeneration. Spinocerebellar degeneration is a nervous system disorder caused by flaws in DNA. Aya found herself having this disorder when she was 15. Instead of living a normal teenage life, she lived with her wheelchair when her coordination of body had started not to work properly. Finally she died at the age of 25. Please refer to Wikipedia for further information.

Aya and her Mom

I have found out about her story from TV Series in my country channel. It’s very tragedic but inspiring story. She had been strong, living to determine her own future even if she knew some day she would pass away early. There is also a movie version and a published diary. I found one Xanga site “OneLitre’s” that translates her diary into English version. I would very much encourage you to read pages of her diary. Otherwise, try reading some movie or series review for a shorter version.

Graduation, EIS, Class of 2008

ProgramYesterday I was attending my younger sister graduation ceremony (before her university class has just started today x_x ). She’s excited…and our family too. I still flashback my graduation time at EIS vividly. I was not excited at first, but when my name was called, I was very nervous. And hey! It has been 4 years since! :-p

The ceremony was taken place at Army Club. Ooo, it’s not scary as it sounds. Very spacious. Lots of room for me to run around LOL  . The program started with teachers and students marching from the back of the hall to the stage. I tried to take pic of teachers, but they walked so fast! Then students were marching with the piano so It’s slow enough for me to take some pics.

Then the class sings their class song together. After that, a guest speaker from Nepal gave them speech about success and balancing working and taking care of health (emm…:?: ). Then I went out for a walk and snack  . I met Mr. Danny. We had some talk…about SPSS, Minitab, and R. Hehe, I thought I would never hear those program again -_- . Anyway, he doesn’t change much. Oh, and Mrs. Rachaneeporn too…she doesn’t change much. Unlike Mr. Michel and Mr. James, they change a lot (since I saw them on my sis banquet). Though, I don’t have a chance to talk with them. I don’t want to say that I miss Mr. James’s calculus lesson!

Heart: Pare Ploy
I went back to the hall to take photograph of my sis. Haha, I can see from
her face that she’s extremely excited! Then I went outside. It’s quite bored waiting for the rest to be called zzz . After a while when I got back in the hall, I found my sister sitting with my dad. She’d been waiting for us! We felt guilty about that. LOL she got to give a jasmine garland to Mom and Dad then go back on stage. Then she saw the girl sitting near us crying. My sister felt like crying :_( too, but she laughed so she won’t cry. Haha, how lovely. My Dad told her that we are proud of her, but she’s a bit complaining about her silver cord. 0.05 more toward the gold cord. LOL. But she’s not serious about that. :thrilled:

Photobucket
Then the graduates needed to give garlands to teachers. I don’t ask her yet
who did she give to. I forget LOL. Anyway, after school songs, prayer, … , til the end of the program, they took lots of photo. We went out, and I saw Mr. Harold. Mine! I miss him! I remember I had disturbed him a lot with my draft! LOL, he always said my topic selection was difficult (it was!). But he’d been helping a lot. I’d got 10+ drafts before the final one. We had some talk…and he forgot again that Ploy is my sister! He’s surprised that I have finished my
Bachelor already! And he said, “Oh, yeah, it has been four years already.”

The program is impressive. Finally my sister is done with her high school. Yet, another big step is ahead…the university! Today she’s very nervous about new environment which is much bigger than high school. She doesn’t get new friend yet because she was sitting on the side of the class that have only boys. Oh…LOL, tmr is IT class. It’s quite a big class, and I’m sure she’ll get new friends! I’m cheering her! o_O

BTW the food is okay, but I prefer that of my year because there is my favorite cheesecake!

Family

Congraduation, Ploy! ;-)

Job Interview Update

Oh…how did I forget informing you guys my job interview update!

An interview from one company seems not so much impressive (for me) ‘coz what we had talked about the job is totally different from what it is in the job description. Too bad. It seems a quite fitting job for me. Then it turns to be a boring one (using Excel the whole day, whole night). o_O

Another one is more impressive. It’s challenging  and beneficial for my skill improvement and career path. Moreover, travelling to there is not really difficult. Quite an ideal job but a bit scary, I admit LOL. -_- I’m totally new for that. But since they seem to have confidence on me, then I should be confident and work hard too. May be I got to do lots of homework. Now, on progress of designing a contract. Still waiting for offer. zzz

So what do i do now? I’m still tutoring and wondering around my university. I miss university life so much (even if it has been only no more than 2 months). I feel strange LOL. It’s a different stage of life. It’s not like transiting from high school life to university life. It’s a much more bigger step. It’s scary but very exciting.

I look so free…yes and no. LOL I still can find stuff to do to kill freetime.  :muhaha: You may curious why I don’t blog so often LOL. I got no explanation for that.

I’m Tagged -_-”

I’ve been tagged by Yos and Nicole. I’m not sure I get this right. I’m not sure when the rule says “Link to your tagger”…where? If anyone drop by, tell me :_(

# Link to your tagger and post these rules.
# Share 7 facts about yourself: some random, some weird.
# Tag 7 people at the end of your post and list their names and link to them.
# Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blog.

1. I often have da feeling like being so badly bloated when programming for a long time.

2. I prefer sour unripen mango more than a sweet ripen one

3. I often forget how to spell “umbrella” correctly.

4. I’m confused between gasohol and NGV. Gasohol is not a gas! NGV is one! x_x

5. When I was young, I hate math. Now, I major in Applied Statistics

6. I like to dress myself in the same color scheme, from head to feet!

7. I don’t know how to burp…not even now. Is that something that should be taught? :?:

I’m gonna tag: Grace, Lucy, Susanna, Ori, Xinyi, Emma, and Lisa

…because I haven’t got so much chance to talk to them and know them

Job Interview

Oh mine, I have been waiting for some time, and finally I got calls for interesting job interview :muhaha: (after receiving some weird calls :?: )
The first job position is a market analyst. This is just right for Applied Statistics fresh grad like me  The job description is like copying from my study plan! This includes data preprocessing, segmentation, analysis, model creation, etc. Yet, it’s more on business application (while my minor is Computer Science). But that’s not a serious issue. My University is well-known for business application, and I have studied few business courses and received considerable grades :-p (guess). The interview is on May 6th. View the job description (in Thai…).

The second job is Junior SAP Support Module-SD Module (i guess  ). Why I guess? Because I didn’t apply for this position. I had applied for Management Trainee, but I think it’s closed . Whatever…the company has my resume on hand. Though I’m applied statistics, I wrote in the resume that I know C++, C#, and ASP.NET. Mainly they use ABAP (which I don’t know what it is -_-). But she (in da phone) believes I can learn it (oh  cool). The job involves coding and functional task…which I believe it’s about SAD (which is the course I had just done in the last term ). I think I need a lot of talk with them. The interview is on May 7! See the job description (so good…it’s in English!).

If you notice, the two companies is about selling liquid  (but just different types of beverage).

Lastly, I’m waiting for a job on Database Coordinator. The process is pending at HR. The department is okay with me now. Let’s see which one I would get (or don’t get any at all o_O…NO! that shouldn’t happen!).

Actually it doesn’t really matter if I’m going to take a job that is exactly right for my field. Just that it is not deviating too much away from my fields (e.g. accounting ). What is more important is which place would give me better career path, job satisfaction, challenges, and opportunities to train my skills (or even broaden them). Of course, salary is of consideration, but as long as it’s not too low that I would be starving (well, at least pay me for being graduated from an international university in a very specialized field with an okay GPA). You know…I’m ready to fight with everything  …I’m very bored now. I need to work!

But just for one thing, I wonder why no business research company calls me for interview.
